I've only just discovered them via Labyrinthitis and have since devoured Kaputt and Ken and I'm yet to come across anything that could even remotely be described as "boring".

I'm surprised this is getting such acclaim. I think it's alright, but also his worst (though I only heard Kaputt and everything after). Have We Met was my 2020 AOTY.

is it an easy narrative? i've tried to love his stuff post-kaputt (an album i adore) but it's so average by comparison

idk if Kaputt was a one-off, but I'd agree that everything after feels cheap by comparison (haven't heard Ken though). This suffers particularly badly because the best track (Dresses) is p much a direct rehash of a motif from Bay of Pigs
