I'd claim that 'Brigid' is the album's lyrical high from a context point of view. Can definitely agree that 'Rushlight' (that back half is so niice) and 'Small Windows' have that immediacy and impact.

Yeah def check it out. I doubt many people will listen to this but it deserves all the love it can get.

Great rev btw, just had a chance to read it. I will say though this doesn't come across as avant garde in the slightest to me

The tagging on this is...ambiguous?

I've seen extreme pop, avant, baroque, experimental pop, post-rock pop fusion, anti-pop...

This was nice. I'm not sure I'm getting what some others are out of this, but I enjoyed certain parts - especially Brigid.

How many spins Sowing? I found this kind of...flat on the first two-ish spins (I mostly put that down to being a non-preferred genre). But "Rushlight" and the rest of the top half really hit home after that. Album's also quite digestible at 28 minutes too!

Oh it's absolutely a 1 spin hot take. I'll probably try at least one more time (maybe twice because of the aforementioned digestible length), but my first listen has it sitting around a 3.5.

Lovely. Can't wait for you to slam 300 or so scores into the site's system towards the end of the year. : ]

mmm i also thought this was decent but unextraordinary. will give it another pass; can defs admire this for the ideas dept, but i'm not convinced how much of it sees itself off to corresponding heights or whatever it's okay

Thanks all for the edits - Think I caught all of them!

Definitely didn't know how to label this either, but decided to slap it with "avant-garde" because of my inherently human need to categorize things that don't need categorized

Also in the camp of "immediately loved this" but also it grew on me immensely even so

Pop music that is challenging as it is catchy? I'm sold, will check out

Okay, just listened to the whole thing (it's shorter than I expected), but I really don't think this is "pop," or at least should be classified as such, but does have some pop-sensibility to it.
