Coalinga reminds me a lot of Mew.

Kind of agree with the author's general take on the band. Inconsistent.. but when it works, it really really works. Didn't know they had something new out, about to try this

I am listening to Crutch and honestly i don't hate it, it's pretty nice.

Don't think I would enjoy a full album of these guys though.

ha! i guess it's the kind of music that's just incredibly pleasant, like i could have this on in the background and maybe hum along to my favourite parts when they happen, but if i gave it my full attention, i'd enjoy it but it maybe wouldn't move me as deeply as some other artists in a similar genre.



like wilco's summerteeth feels more powerful for instance, but this is a still a pretty and likeable album.

this album is actually fantastic...some lullers tho that keep this from being better than their last but solid album got some good highlights just like the last one
