I think this album is more catered to my tastes, but even then, to call it better than Majesty and Decay might be a stretch.

Kingdom of Conspiracy always catching the flak that is more deserving for Harnessing Ruin as always, lol.

One listen in to this so far, but after this ripping Animarum ep album I'm going to go in for a second. First go was a bit underwhelming, but it's typical for me and Immo. This is a little more homogenous than most on first impression, but that can be a strength for some albums so it's not too harsh of a critique.

Anyone immediately reminded of the intro to Lower with Abandoned? It jumped out at me as being far too reminiscent and was a little disappointing to be with that much similarity right out the gate to open a whole new LP.

Also, the overall tempo in Abandoned and the t/t felt a little weird and too rushed. Like a little jumpy and faster than it needed to be so it was kind of a weird vibe at the start. Fav first track though was Incineration Procession.

Immo just reach a whole new level when you're able to read along with the lyrics.

Man why is everyone so mean to Harnessing Ruin, there’s some great tracks there and the increased focus on melody makes it feel unique in their disgcog

In re: to HR

For me personally, I feel the least interested when I jam the whole thing but my track highlights from that album are 'Swarm of Terror' 'My Own Enemy', t/t, of course, and Son of Iniquity. But the only song on it that feels like it really matches up to Unholy Cult is My Own Enemy' imo. I can see why people can say the same more about KoC but I enjoy the content more on KoC in comparison.

I already bumped this up a .5 :3

The whispering part in Son of Iniquity is my least favorite Immolation moment
