This is pretty good but I wish the production had more punch to it

I am gonna agree with senetrix that this is really missing that slap bass of the first albums.

Also the last track is really good.

The second half of this album is much stronger which is quite unusual. Disconnect onward is pretty much straight fire.

Agreed. Worst Is On Its Way is one of their best closers ever

I think it's pretty solid all around despite a couple samey songs. Let the Dark Do the Rest and Start the Healing are quite uplifting for Korn. Even the closer ends on an uplifting note actually, thinking about it.

Luzier definitely does some heavy lifting for the album, being the efficient air drum machine that he is

Yeah it’s strange (though not bad) to hear Korn having a few actually uplifting songs, especially after the album before this

Let the Dark do the rest is such a great song. Hadn’t listened to the band since serenity. Glad they’re still kicking ass

Disconnect is such an amazing song, it has a transcendental quality to it. Easily one of the best songs they've ever written. Whole album slaps honestly, one of their best.

thought this was rlly boring. if i wanted pt. 3 to the same shit they've been doing but worse i'd just pull up their original self-titled again. they got complacent being safe after everyone hated on the dubstep album.

every single track on this is a coming undone tier hit or better lol

no definitely all in the "or better" category since it has a lot more sparkly rock candy layers and textures mmm tasty

i mean, maybe i need to listen again? but i remembered this being just a worse version of the last album which was a worse serenity of suffering. they're safe and complacent and not doing anything very interesting to me anymore. it's as safe for them as 72 seasons is for metallica, only being better by way of not making fans wait 7 years for the same shit as the last.

the nothing utilizes some of the same sanitized alt-rock cleans that TSOS and TPS used, but also bridges them together with a lot of cool manic tangents that make it SO much fucking cooler than those

this one has nothing to do with that trilogy at all stylistically. much slower, methodical, the drummer is trying to fit korn's style rather than korn structuring their tracks around the drummer, lots of interplay between head's riffs and munky's atmospheric twiddling, seamless melding of verses and choruses. streamlined, but focused, with all of the quintessential catchy-midpaced-korn elements magnified and polished to perfection

but the production fucking sucks
