I still have a few above this (The Way of All Flesh, Close to a World Below, and Still Life come to mind), but this is definitely right near the top

for as strange and brutal, and just incomprehensible this album can seem, i always want to listen to it, it has a sort of addictive quality that you wouldn't think music like this would have.

the title track in particular, idk why, i want to figure out whats happening in it, but can't, but with other bands this would annoy me, with Gorguts, it intrigues me and makes me listen over and over again.

and i actually really dislike tech death (modern stuff anyway) for the most part. the wanky shit annoys me, in other bands, but this band is special, the crazy playing on here feels almost purposeful in a way, whereas with modern tech death i find that it's more like they are just playing notes, not really playing songs if you know what I mean.

Kinda funny cuz Eons' criticism of modern tech death could be applied almost verbatim to the random tapping solos on the t/t

the tapping solos remind me a lot of the weird polka moments on Human Remains' "Using Sickness As A Hero"

That riff on Nostalgia from 2:45 onwards is probably my favorite moment in all of death metal. Holy shit

@TheAntichrist if you mean me then no, this is not my thing. It's depressing and a bunch of noise. I can see how people like this tho, its very impressive but not my thing to listen to. The first 2 songs was enough. Dont hate me!
