@Deftone It's definitely less disney, it's darker and has some sinister thing going on, but it still got some Disney moments and prog mania. I love all that though!

Huh, this band is from Boston? Guess I should be checking my local scenes more haha. I'll check them out. Not sure I'll dig based on the description of symphonic folk metal. Usually not into any kind of symphonic metal.

I like this album. I kinda consider the band "Dungeons & Dragons metal". Not entirely sure what they were going for on the last song of the album though. Seems like a random way to wrap things up.

2.5 pretty good given you didn't even listen to half the record, gonna pretend that's a 5 by technicality

"My general take is that everything they did before was super incoherent. This is Wilderun's first work that flows well, with nothing feeling out of place."

2022 may have taken Betty White and Bob Saget (RIP) from us, but it's given us a Ramon review, so maybe it all evens out...

Maybe I missed something when I heard Sleep at the Edge... when it came out. Thought that piece of fluff was the corniest thing I heard all year. I'll give this a shot but I'm definitely not getting my hopes up.

Yeah I found the last record triggered my (not actual) lactose intolerance pretty hard, but the balance seems more palatable here. Fine lines perhaps, yet it appears to have made all the difference to me. Either that or my taste has changed idk. Only one way to find out!

Ugh I love how this record has much better production than their last one. On track two now and seems they kept all the things I loved... Gonna be a great one!
