This is cool but I don't imagine it having much staying power. The drummer is an animal and the musicianship is great, but it almost sounds like the band is relying on flashiness instead of good songwriting to carry the album. All the moments meant to sound climactic have little to no buildup and the band throws everything at you at once.

@Josh layering metal vocals over a mono clone doesn’t make it not a mono clone 😜
I really like this. Personally wasn’t a fan of the direction Laurestine took as a big fan of their earlier work, so this is a bit of a return to form for me. Some of the tracks are too long though, they have like 3 or 4 fake endings. Would prefer if the tracks were shorter and maybe a bit more variety but in the right mood this is great.
