Love the heaviness of this one. Fitting how one of the most important proto-metal bands eventually transformed into a full-on prog metal band by the end of their studio run

Agreed.

Robert Fripp is such a genius guitarist/composer.

Interesting thought/observation. I will observe if I feel the same. Indeed, this one is like you say it.

It feels like I will bump rate a lot of LP, along the way of my discog run.

And, I'm an old fan of this band. I had stop following them back in the early 80s, right after TOAPP.

A renew interest for King Crimson recently. Digging Fripp guitar work. Love it.

In 1984 TOAPP, i was 18 years old. I liked them back then. But, now, it is something else.

Musically better and more educated, it open new ways of appreciating their albums.

That is a nice feeling.

Back then, not many friends like them. Here, it is sweet to see the love for them by people like you.

Ohhh, only once at;

Live in Montreal at the Spectrum in 11 July 1984. Superb experience.

I just found that the show was recorded and released in 1998, live album , and released in 1998. (Absent Lovers: Live in Montreal)

And you?

It is in the Live section here. I will dig it after the studio run. So nice.

"Happy with what you have to be happy with

You have to be happy with what you have

To be happy with what you have

Happy with what you have to be happy with

You have to be happy with what you have

To be happy with what you have

You have to be happy with what you have to happy with"

Trve, King Crimson short piece,

Kinda sad that I'll probably never see them live since they're (reportedly) not playing live from this year onward. I really haven't seen any of my prog idols live in general though... I think BTBAM is the only prog rock/metal band I've seen live. Well, and Primus too, if you wanna count them as prog (which I'd argue they are)

Actually never mind, I just remembered that I've seen both Devin Townsend and Obscura as well. Ok, so I guess I've seen some prog artists, even if they're more on the prog metal side

It would be nice to see some of the classic prog bands before they call it quits though

Sweet.

Incredible musicians god tier, agreed.

Line up in 1984;

Robert Fripp/Adrian Belew/Tony Levin/Bill Bruford, very impressive musicians.

Tony Levin was so cool, Bruford & Fripp, so musically engage.

Gotta re spin this one.. it's been a while.I just remember I preferred Construkction from their 'metal'-phase (which btw is aboslutely mesmerizing and their most underrated album by far).

Eyes Wide Open is a stone cold KC classic. Especially the acoustic version.

this is good, construkction is great imo. i guess this album starts in a dignified way where as construkction starts with blues rock that's mutant to an almost novelty degree lol

This is in my top 5 Crimson albums these days tbh. If it does end up being their last studio album, it was one hell of a way to bow out
