I'd have to relisten as well to be certain, but I'm as sure as I can be otherwise/going strictly off memory that NFR! is still a once in a decade pop record that can't be touched

completely tuned her out after NFR but I'm going to trust yall on this one and partake in some very aggressive condescension if y'all are wrong

Slex I made the mistake of listening to the first couple songs and then sort of tuning it out under the assumption that it was more of the same trash we got with Chemtrails. It really gathers momentum in the midsection, so afford it a close listen. It's no NFR! IMO but it's vying for clear cut #2 in her discog.

Wonderful review by fog.

I keep coming back to this album. I've never *loved* Lana Del Rey although I greatly admire Honeymoon, NFR and, to a lesser extent, Ultraviolence. But this one is so raw and intimate at the same time. It completely blows Chemtrails out of the water. I'm very very impressed. You can feel the Fiona Apple and Kate Bush influences as well. Black Bathing Suit, Dealer and Sweet Carolina in particular are truly fantastic tracks.

Sowing, I am a huge fan of your writing. I hope you're going to review the album.

Thanks, it crossed my mind for a split second but I don't think I have anything to add to fog's review, which is very well-written and also convinced me to give this a second chance.

Agree that NFR is clear number one and this is probably vying for the number 2 spot. She gets pretty bold on here and I'm glad to see her continuing to push her own boundaries.

Hmm UV and NFR are the only albums I can listen to from start to finish. This has some very annoying moments I don't want to hear again.
