Okay Devolution is actually a pretty decent track for the most part.
But yeah overall this is still pretty bad, it's just more of the same thing that they've been doing since Vessels. The songwriting's the same, the production is the same, very little variety to be found here.

fair enough, even though I disagree on the variety
I feel like they took a different approach and went for a more atmospheric attempt and focus on open sounding choruses and progression... but that’s just me

This is growing on me a lot, to be honest. Feels like the proper follow up to Vessels.
For me, Starset is all about style over substance. Divisions really toned that down, which was why it was so bad to me. This brings the cinematic feeling back and it's just really, really cool.

I feel like I would be a bit kinder to this album if it came out after Vessels but man I just don't see how this is any different than most of the stuff they've released since then.
I can't get through this album in one sitting, it's just so boring.

This is a little better than Divisions imo, but still I'm not sold on this at all... and I liked their first 2 records but now I'm scared to go back honestly, maybe they just came at the right time then
