It's just a heater that you clip on the side of a pot, fill the pot with water, and then submerge a vacuum sealed steak for a few hours

I tried doing it once the poor man's way, in a coleman cooler with warm water, a ziplock and a thermometer.... the result was alright, I still think grilling it with charcoal and almond shells gives it a distinct flavor.
