“The album art is fucking with my eyes”
On Apple Music it’s animated

Thats a cool detail. I always hope bands do more creative stuff with their album art, especially digitally.

i liked this but i dont really agree with there being any re-invention or improvement from the last album. porches has done a similar thing on the last few records and i would probably rank this one the weakest (although it still succeeds at the brief)

kinda feel that way too. man that one ten second intense section of "swarovski" an otherwise decent song is SO good, elevates it SO much

I wouldn’t say reinvention but Pool and The House to me at least, are very distinct from Ricky Music, and All Day Gentle Hold is again a different sound. Lyrically they all follow similar threads but musically they contrast with one another

how would you describe the sound on this one as being different to Ricky Music? i dont see it at all, i feel like it could all be packaged into one big album. i can see pool being more indie pop and the house being more beats-driven but these last two are probably his most similar imo
