Good review my dude. The current ratings for this are a bit worrying but I’ll still check it

I've never been a huge fan of Owls, and have always wondered what I wasn't really getting. There were parts that I liked and enjoyed, but it never really stuck with me.
This album is just simply mediocre, some solid riffs and melodies here and there but nothing all that memorable and it really lacks cohesion.

Great review Nocte.
I was somewhat looking forward to this record despite the singles being crappy. I wasnt that hyped but still a let down and the lyrics suck, not that the lyrics on owls where anything special. Owls had some good vocal hooks and ear worms. This has nothing of the sort aside from DO THE WORK. Ill stick to DVNE for this years instalment of prog metal

This record is just so odd in that all of the hate and criticism its getting is 100% warranted, and I can even see all of it and why but somehow I still enjoy it. It absolutely sounds like too many ideas, lacks flow, sounds unfinished, all of the things. And yet for some reason I still find it enjoyable. It actually makes me want to listen to it more cause I'm just like.... wtf is this lol

{2} I agree that most of the criticism is warranted, yet I enjoyed the album and some moments blow me away. Clockwork and MORE? are the kind of tracks I'm constantly rewinding, maybe more sessions listening for an hour will change my mind.

Sorry, should've added more about what I was getting at. I meant bad faith as in I feel like there's lots of really good points you have (in particular I think you're dead on concerning the disjointed nature of it) but it also read to me like you're really conscious of the rabid fanboyism this band seems to invoke in some people, ergo it feels like you set out to make a point based on that, when as you've shown in the review, there's plenty of solid criticism to be made. Perhaps bad faith was the wrong term because I didn't mean to suggest anything malicious or misleading.

Sputnik staff (Robert Garland) saying this album is Parkway Drive b-side demos is just embarrassing for this site. Album is not as good as the last but solid.

My friends saw them in Texas this weekend, don’t think it was the same show, but they also said they killed it and were rocking all new equipment.
