I'm one of the few who actually love Altogether, you just gotta appreciate it for what it is and not be expecting PV pt 2. The slower/dreamy grooves hit right sometimes. And the opener + closer from that album are objectively fantastic, at least if you're a fan of PV.

Take My Head is about wanting to be dead, Like Slow Disappearing is about acid trips, Intrapersonal is about bipolar disorder, I mean come on Johnny wat are you even going on about. Did you hear two songs from this and think the whole thing was a breakup album

you could take the other two in isolation, sure - but the scenario is exclusively touring this album of primarily overt, explicit breakup songs from a specific point in time as a whole, and it's p obvious where they sit within that framework. i don't think that tour should-never-happen (once or twice) or whatever, but you're not exactly convincing me that it's less of a depressing prospect

They don’t tour this album in full though, I don’t think I’ve ever seen them do that. It’s always a handful of songs from this sprinkled in with songs from their other albums. Like all bands do.
