I definitely think this is their best album. Damn near flawless. There's one song that I kind of don't like, and the rest is golden.

The only song that is really holding this back for me personally, is Nightmares. But it's still a decent track. I didn't like Good Girls at first because it sticks out like a sore thumb, but taken out of context of the album it actually kinda jams. This album could be 4.5 on a good day, needs more spins.

The only song I'm not a big fan of is "Better if You Don't". Otherwise, even the three bonus tracks are top-notch. I'm a fan of Nightmares, too. It's kind of dark and moody, which sets it apart from the other tracks.

No argument there, although Violent Delights is about equal.

I really really enjoyed the Bones of What You Believe, was super excited for Every Open Eye but thought it was a wholly watered down version of Bones and pretty shite on the whole, then Love is Dead out and yeah basically fuck this band now. Now I see a Trey 4.8 tho and it’s got me contemplating giving this a proper listen

This, to me, is better than Pins and Needles. It's also the best thing in the CHVRCHES discography. I'm only really a fan of the second album and this one. The first one is okay, and Love is Dead is mostly bland.

The opening few notes of this album instantly hit those feels! Already feeling that nostalgic attachment to this. Think I will settle on a 4.5 at one point, it's just not quite fully there yet.

Never thought much of Final Girl or Better If You Don't but I find they're at least tolerable.



Still, I don't know what they were thinking with Nightmares at all. That song makes the majority of Love is Dead look appealing.
