Posh pop

Those few snippets sounded quite adventurous. Maybe they go explore a bit more, especially since Einar made a solo record that sounded quite a bit like last two Leprous records

Ye I'm thinking/hoping Einar having a solo jaunt now will be his outlet for the more ballad-y stuff, as much as I've still enjoyed the last couple Leprous.

Yea, I loved the last couple records, but it's also time to change things up a bit again. Doesn't have to go heavier imo, just something cool

Agreed kalk, hope Leprous does too

I was able to find a snippet on Leprous' Facebook story. Not sure if they posted it somewhere else.
@Fowo
The comment on Facebook was something along the lines of "Enjoy these grooves (cue bass clip) but also be ready for the feels (cue clip of more ballad-y tune)."

I thought Einar's solo album was dope but agree that some of it might not have translated to Leprous. If anything, 16 gave me hope that they have a more proggy album in them somewhere...

Aye I missed those, wasn't following them super close for past few months - gotta check those snippets out later.
Ngl still didnt have time to properly listen to Einar's solo album, I only heard a fragment of one song and decided it's slightly too poppy for me, you people saying it's actually quite Leprous-like might be the encouragement I need to get to it

I don't enjoy it as much as any Leprous album but I still appreciate it for what it is and a few of the tracks are definitely really strong. Honestly need to go back and give it another listen, it's been a minute.

Saw them snippets, not bad but nothing extordinary as well.
I'm just hoping once they venture into slow songs they will explore more of the sound of Salt from Coal or Lower from Congregation - probably my favourites from those tempos

This band just can't do wrong. Everything they release is just pure class, even from a heavy pop perspective they blow 99% of the modern pop bands.

News:
"As most of you know, we’ve been hard at work in the studio the past few months and we’re extremely excited to announce that the next Leprous album will be titled “Melodies of Atonement” and will be out late summer 2024! Like every band on earth thinks about their new album, we feel like it’s our best one so far! But in this case it happens to be true … The orchestral elements are gone, which gives more space for each individual band member to shine. It’s straight to the point, and heavier than what we’ve been in a while... It’s a new sound. But it’s still Leprous."

Nice! I don't think it will be pre Malina heavy, but tbh I don't really care

wew, excitement! And it makes sense for them to make something without the celli for once haha

I thought the orchestral stuff paired well with their sound but excited to see them strip back to something more rock oriented.

I'm very grateful they are staying true to their principles of trying new things. I think they played their modern sound to most of its potential during the Malina-Pitfalls-Aphelion run. I love each of those, particularly Pitfalls, but its time to try something new. Agreed, doesn't have to be super heavy but I'd be lying if I said that didn't excite me

Yeah, another record in this same vein would be getting stale I think. They probably thought the same
