oh I'll give you Midnight Show too as a goodun

my only real complaint w this album isn't even a real complaint lol, I just can't help imagining if they saved the Springsteen feature for this instead of a reworking of an old song. like can y'all picture The Getting By exploding on that last chorus instead of just kinda ending, and The Boss and Flowers are trading lines at full throttle? man I'd 5 this on principle alone

Ahhh I mean yes to the explosion but personally no to the Springsteen feature. I know the influences are already transparent but that would take it just over the edge for me. Same reason the new Bleachers feels so gimmicky (even though I still enjoy it a lot).

Guess I'll have to check this.

Despite having a copy of Hot Fuss for years and always meaning to get around to it, the only Killers album I've heard so far is Day & Age when I was... 12? 13?

You probably don’t even need to listen to Hot Fuss because you’ve most likely heard all the best songs from it tons of times already.

True true, I forget that that one wasn't a single. On the whole I always felt the A side of Hot Fuss would have made a killer (heh) EP, I hardly even remember the songs on the back half.

Good second half songs? Add Uncle Jonny, On Top, Bones, and I Can't Stay.

Don’t know is someone already said it, but your review of this got shared on the killers subreddit and they’re pretty happy with it.

I’m also slowly coming back to the rest of the record. Still think the opener is the best thing they’ve ever did.

Yeah I came across it accidentally (I'm not a member of that particular subreddit) and saw it has something like 80 upvotes and several favorable comments. It's always a nice change from Sputnik's anti-hype crowd, although I always expect this place to have extremely discerning taste because we're all elitists haha.
