The more I listen to this the more I've learned to appreciate it on its on terms and not compare it to the first album since it's so different. The only song that reasonably sounds like a Killswitch Engage side thing is Rescue and it's probably one of the worst ones here.



Mend You in particular just hits me so well every goddamn time. Far From Heavenless is also a huge track. Considering moving this up to a 4.

In retrospect, first two tracks are so huge. I wish they resisted the temptation to go Killswitch lite and did more dark twangy post-country like those two.
