I met them once. It was Jesse, Joel and Matt Bachand in a bar in Dallas airport. Had to say hello. They were heading to soundwave fest in Australia and me and the wife were heading same direction. Nice lads and up for a chat

Oh yeah this is cheesy AF. The first one was more of a charming, endearing and honest kind of cheese. This on the other hand made me cringe a few times. It feels forced at times.

he should get rid of jesse and just do all the vocals himself, his voice is 1000x times better at this point

i disagree strongly; jesse sounds incredible here, and it felt like Killswitch has been holding him back because they're stuck in their same formula and jesse wants to branch out.

I knew things were going to be different and that's not the issue for me. This thing is just boring. I literally fell asleep.

Jesse sounds fantastic [2] but agree Adam adds plenty when he comes in. The vocals may be the best thing about this tbh

What I've heard of this just emphasizes how much better Hymn is. Super underrated record.

I think Jesse vocally shows nearly as much passion as he ever has here, but it's been the less passionate writing and melodies from KsE lately holding him back. I tried listening to Atonement today and I could barely stand it. The song order is bad and almost everything is re-hashed. At least this album stands on its own and gives me a bit more hope.

Doesn't hold a candle to the debut
Hymn of a Broken Man had a lot of emotional weight to it. This feels forced and desolate by comparison.

The debut was forgettable to me at the time but y'all got me thinkin I should revisit it
