Still weird to see the ratings count stagnate so completely on something like this.

Howard sounds on point on this, just a shame there's such a lack of variation in the musicianship and song structures.

It is a nice listen, nothing more, nothing less. Only span it once, but Living With A Ghost & Denying The Sin probably stood out the most - they're a bit better when they go harder.

Almost the best he's sounded in about two decades in my opinion. Guy's a hell of a vocalist, makes you wonder how'd he really open up in a more progressive metal setting.

I keep forgetting about this band or that Howard is doing anything these days in general. Probably doesn't help that the band name changed at some point

“Album cover looks like an 80s thrash band that turned "groove metal" in the 90s”. Ha! Great call. I’m thinking Testament’s The Ritual or Machine Head Supercharger or maybe a Chimaira album

Testament is what popped in my mind as well, but now that you mention it Chimaira and MH are also spot on. Devil Driver too lol

Funny I didn't recognise him in the first few lines but it gets better. His work on 2004 and 2006 KsE is classic and this is perfectly enjoyable (and yes safe) melodic metalcore. Nice rev Nocte

not as bad as bad howard jones era killswitch, but not as good as good howard jones era killswitch, but pretty much a slightly less metalcore version of howard jones era killswitch with a less screams.

I will never understand why Howard doesn’t capitalise on his voice and go full arena rock instead of half-heartedly retreading a dying melodic metalcore sound.
