I’d give this album a “facet” out of 5👍

Didn't expect to like this as much as I did. Always liked Fear Factory back in the day but never loved them, so they kinda fell off the radar over the years.
Time to rectify that I think.

^Most people always say Demanufacture is a great place to start but honestly Obsolete is the best place to start.

@Opeth - like both of those albums, fell off around the release of Archetype.

The album cover looks like it came straight out of Armored Core

Fuel Injected Suicide Machine is SO catchy, and the middle section is also surprisingly... pretty?

Maybe I'll check this out during the weekend. Haven't really been excited for a Fear Factory album in ages though

I don´t like the artwork. I don´t see the FF but a funny little robot man -_-
But I like the music on this beast! Hope, the next album will come soon. I am really curious how it will sound.

It's a little gundam with satan horns, isn't it

Yeah this has some really solid tracks between some completely boring and forgettable ones. Not sure how I feel about this yet but Genexus felt relatively fresh as far as their sound goes and this does not.

Look up the ACs in Armored Core and you'll see what I mean by my comment earlier

Naaaah, the first two tracks of that album are phenomenal, then it's all downhill from there. This at least has some great moments/sections scattered throught.
That being said, this is probably one of my least favorite from them.

Really love Dino's tone on this album. Anyone know if he used an 8-string on this one, or still just a 7?
Anyway, solid album all around -- and a very fine effort from the band as far as their tenure with Burton goes. They definitely won't be the same without him. But if this is truly the end for FF as we know them, they at least went out with a very good record here.

Actually prefer this to the more recent ones. Really digging tracks 5,6,7. It is a concept done to death tho
