Lol
I appreciate them for their creativity and their massive output, even though not everything is gold.

Love the DJ Shadow Re-write of Black Hot Soup, and Join Safran is hilarious in the film clip.

The remix album has some great tracks, but, as a whole, the track listing makes it hard to listen to front to back.

"Yeah, I was kinda off a lot of their old stuff because aside from some of the cool genre-mixing it never really grabbed me with any sick melodies or rhythms"
Yea, it's always individual tracks where they have cool grooves and melodies that get me with Gizzard. This thing must have improved over the years, I think, but it's been a big issue on K.G. and L.W. as well

When you listen from front to back, BF3k (the song) hits like a ton of bricks. It's great.

This is probably tied with Fishies at the top for me. It's so smooth and enjoyable

The new collaboration with Tropical Fuck Storm, is where it's at! Satanic Slumber Party.
From Tropical Fuck Storm's bandcamp
"Somewhere along a frayed thread of time, a King Gizz and a Tropical Fuck Storm convened under the cloak of night for a slumber party of the satanic persuasion…Pumped full of booze and adrenaline, two of psych-rock’s most powerful joined forces for a 20-minute “Hatjam” chockfull of sax skronks, brick-heavy distortion, and punchy riffs. Satanic Slumber Party arrives just in time for your possessed pleasure."

Yes, agreed. Not my favorite, but one of their best
I feel like many of their albums are building towards something and this album might be one of those, even if it's not quite their peak output
