I would say I heard way worse, but you hear one beat for 20 seconds, and you heard all the musical part of the tune.
Rinse and repeat for half of the disc lol
My Life, Punchin the Clock and Let go my Hand are so far the ones that did not make me want to instant skip
It's just not how I envision music, I know this kind of hip-hop ethos is all about chill and vibes, but really yeaaaaaah. . . .
All the trappy beats are just offensive instead lol

Nothing better than reading insecurities and weird 7-figure flexes off "let go my hand" though lol
I guess also being a huge nerd of most forms of poetry, literature and stuff, most basic hip-hop looks like half assed penmanship most times lol

oooh I know this genre has its public, and its vibes, I find it more ok for a single approach, and full discs kinda fall flat for me.
there is just not enough to be interesting imho.
My flatmate is a major hip-hop head and has been trying to school me, but yeah, it´s always some bitesized things I enjoy, and discs rarely impress me or keep my attention.

Fuck whatever your flatmate says he's been leading you astray. Listen to Kenny Mason, Jpegmafia, and $ilkmoney.

my fav hip-hop is clipping lol
throwing some names off my mind. . . rtj, injury reserve (all), kenny segal, danny brown, kendrick, some kanye, little simz. . . it's not like I don't enjoy the genre
jpeg should be up my alley, but we never clicked too much

I remember really liking Clipping's last album. It had some real great horrorcore stuff without being really corny.
Seriously, give those recs a listen. All 3 artists are infinitely better, more experimental, and better lyricists than Cole.
EDIT: Did you dig Injury Reserve's newest album?

I was jamming the two I didn't know, I have attack of. . . going right now in the back
yeah I did dig the latest IR, it's more of an experience than a disc imho
Clipping ruined the genre, he's just ahead on flow and the bases are that good
Rancore is a hidden gem of italian Rap, another one that ruined pretty much the whole genre to me.
I guess this must be fun, the base is genius lol and Italian is not meant to go this fast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rj8ClwcmmT4

That song just gave me Rap God flashbacks
You dig Kendrick, so maybe give his labelmates Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul a listen too if you haven't already

well if you're taking recs and into poetry in a big way, i'm gonna be that prick that insists you listen to Aesop Rock (even though i see you were mild on Garbology) — check The Impossible Kid (everything that he touch turns promptly to shit),and since you're into RTJ his sideproject wth Rob Sonic, Hail Mary Mallon - Bestiary
have you done hip-hop classics too? check Outkast - Aquimini for sure (plus, you know, all of their albums)
let us know if you want more/specific recs! hip-hop is a wide wide world at this point
