powerviolence is like grind, often with some slower super sludgy bits, but it doesnt try to do any weird shit 99% of the time

sure, gasp are powerviolence but powerviolence isnt gasp
in the same way that some black metal bands can have elements of pure ambient, dark folk, keys/synths but those are not necessary for or limited to black metal and do not represent what a majority of black metal bands sound like
i hope that makes sense
