The rym comment box for this is very entertaining. Just people arguing about originality and saying dumb pasta-worthy shit.

It's called the windmill scene apparently. Named after a venue.
Eh idk about Talking Heads but there's some Pere Ubu in most of these bands sure.
Why would ripping off feelies and wipers be ok?

can definitely hear Talking Heads in the music + mic demeanour smacks of Byrne-patented cool-uncool that is almost universally uncool here because sapping someone eles's cool is very uncool
this is definitely one of the better post-fuck scene albums though, back half is pretty good

it was a joke but it'd be a breath of fresh air at least and plus I prefer them originally anyway
black midi's first song out was called talking heads due to the sound similarity !! (and tbf its their best)
I don't doubt all of these would be great live though

Dry cleaning are the only one I dislike. I'm glad that this type of music is getting attention, paid for or otherwise.

I lost track of this thread but from what I could gather, this isn't as good as Black Midi and therefore it's average music at best. Kidding (sort of), but this rules and if Black Midi is that much better then they must be churning out classics so time for me to cozy up to their discog and see what the hype is all about.

Black Midi is around the same tier as this and you should listen to the zillion bands they rip from instead

'Johhny your 5s are full of artists that rip things shhh'
all my 5s 1upped their influences unless u wanna specifically hate on thrice (we're all doin it), black midi is a crusty collage and you love it because that makes it easier to rate

>Everyone has to rip from someone tbh
yea its a matter of being transformative vs sounding recycled
