Artwork/packagings all a bit plain for MP standards. Not much to the vinyl. Sounds dope af obvs

Slight recalibration on my rating here. Some huge moments make this one of the more interesting takes on Sabbath in recent memory, all while still wholly in the Motorpsycho canon. There’s just a lot of campfire tunes towards the back half that sound nice but don’t elevate the album much. Still, band is a gift. Sharpest edge in progressive rock at the moment.

I've gotten into it more this Autumn. When it was released I was still digesting The All Is One. Great stuff.

Yep the medieval vibe works like a charm now.

I always find myself coming back to this, especially on weeks where nothing of interest gets released. There are a couple duds in the track list depending on my mood but the TT and At Empire's End are some of the best I've heard out of this band.

oh speaking of news, browsing their instagram I discovered there's supposedly a new edition of Lobotomizer coming next year. Apparently the 1992 CD version (they one I own and I imagine you too if you have any), which is also the one available for streaming, is different from the original LP and the band doesn't like it

I really wish they would come out with a follow up already. I know its only been a year but this was so a promise of continued things to come. The next release is going to be my most anticipated of the year I'm positive

If we can get one more record in the same vein as this and The All Is One before they change up their sound too much that would be stellar.

Your wish is granted. They have just announced a new album, Ancient Astronauts. It will be out in August.
