It’s like all these years people have slung the reductionist “Sabbath riffs” at bands and Motorpsycho took offense.

I love these guys but I'm starting to feel a bit of Motorpsycho fatigue.

Needs more Kapstad energy if they want to keep doing the progpsycho forever tbh. Or at least more Snah lead vocals, he's virtually gone in that regard

I was thinking the same. The amount of prog rock albums and pace they are releasing them at is a bit heavy. I want them to change things a bit next time (same thing I said last year lol).

Said it last year but feel like these guys just keep getting better somehow.

I'm biased because I jumped on the bandwagon last year with The All is One but keep it coming please. The trilogy was incredible. This is incredible. Your fatigue has nothing to do with the quality of these recent releases.

This, for me, is their most consistently enjoyable release of the past decade so far. There's less twee hippy bullshit on this than usual - most of their recent albums have at least a track or two that I just skip.

Atet/At Empire's End/The Hunt is such a great run. That bridge in Cosmoctopus is absolutely nasty and reminds me of Rush, i believe. Would love to catch up with the rest of their catalogue at some point, but these guys just won't stop releasing new music lol.

This is good but doesn’t seem to have the epic tracks of previous albums.

Well, I loved their last one too but after the NOX Suite I mostly lose interest. "The Watcher" here is kind of useless but that's really the only thing close to a weak point here imo.

They played brand new tracks during the two gigs they had in Trondheim a week ago lol. I'm pretty sure they recorded a new album already.

I kinda agree with Dewi I absolutely love MP especially the pro era and even though this is still a solid 4 it maybe doesn't move me as much as almost all their recent work. Motorpsycho fatigue is a good word for it.

This is so freaking good! The Waning doesn't do much for me for some reason but the rest of this from start to finish is excellent. Best tune on here for me is At Empires End or the TT.

The title track is glorious yeah, and I confess to be a sucker for the tolling bell sounds. The second half of United Debased is also really cool, almost sounds like a lost Sabbath session
