for real though, ignoring the juvenile jabs at my dig, death metal is my favorite/most listened to genre and this is just not good death metal.

I get the views but this is slam. Its all in good porn shock goofy fun. Admitely can be little boring on further listens, but its to laugh and leave imo. 1.5 seems too compromising lol like if you took the bait by getting pissed at it.

well I think your average music listener doesn't assign arbitrary meanings to ratings or overthink them as much as people on here or RYM or whatever do. they're not holding what they like to some "objective" standard of whether something "deserves" a rating, they give high ratings to things they like and low ratings to thinks they don't without worrying about whether it's "too high" or "too low" because of an album's status or how it compares to everything else.

I guess(?) But the dude knows about slam and claimed it as the new step for slam, and the perfect entry point for the subgenre etc...exactly where I disagree, cause I don t feel this with much room to grow, as I m sure you don t either (?)

But i guess this is what slam is about, uncompromising kinda disposable listens. So I always rec Afterbirh for picking up that oldschool brootal vibe, production and aesthetic features and add something much more technically interesting. But I'm afraid that way it just stops being slam X/ lol

The band's DNA remains death metal, despite the slam-ish layer. From here the guys can go wherever they want, down a more BDM path or into a cavern OSDM style, for example.
