this is probably a good point. "shriek" is a very vocal-ess descriptor and probably not really fit for a bass description. I was in fact referring to the auditory clearness of the bass itself (something the metal genre as a whole is guilty of burying from time to time). thanks for the input though, kind of made me realize how stupid I can be while throwing adjectives around. I've added some clarification directly afterwards.
