trust in your fellow contrib moar like. i'm on a first spin and I can't help but think it’s tough to imagine a scenario where a new Eyehategod record recaptures that same ferocity that made those classic records what they were. just about sums it up.

yeah but I mean the previous f.e. is a versatile record, not as raw or ferocious or pissed at life as those classics. But still pretty good. The issue here, according to porc, is the riffs don't stick

I liked the rev, but thought that it should go more into the actual songs. Now I get why it didn't.

Nice review. I wholeheartedly agree with the meh-ness of this effort, though I never gave this band the kind of time I afforded the other Nola sludge greats.

I found this bit a skosh tasteless: "Good looking out, Audie Pitre." Though I suppose that's totally on brand in a discussion about Acid Bath/Eyehategod, so nice work. Here's my metaphysical pos.
