The heavy song is trash too.

Last Chance is overrated just cause it's the heavy track. Compared to Sometimes You're The Hammer or Violence it's quite mediocre.

I will not be jamming this and will instead jam Homesick and WSMFY

Absolutely atrocious record, but not surprising given how bland Bad Vibrations was and how terrible the pre-release singles were. I really have no gripes in terms of their style switch-up, just that they couldn't execute. They had better hooks as a pop-punk band.

"great write up

for enhanced readability you may want to chop up those big paras (the final para, for example, could be chopped in two after "one tired vocal melody at a time."). otherwise it's a cracking job. 'identity crisis' is the vibe im getting from this too"

Thanks, will tend to this immediately.

I had pretty low expectations going in so I sure as hell wasn't disappointed. I still can't fathom how "High Diving" even made it onto the record, lol.

The only consideration this album needs is whether its a 1 or a 1.5.

Some of these songs are literally the worst things I've ever heard

F.Y.M is almost unlistenable. The only song that blends this new direction with the old stuff well enough is Resentment and it's not exactly great either. Probably gonna bump this down to a 1.5 eventually.

@iChuckles - also if you want to maintain the tongue in cheek of your second paragraph, you should change it to "Fast forward to" and not "flash"

Curious to hear this. I don't follow this band too closely but the last single they released (I think) wasn't thaaaat bad imo

I also am shocked to not see direct hate in here for Viva la Mexico. That song made me gag. The lyrics are childish and stupid, and the music is abysmal. I barely made it through 1 minute

Haven't listened to this yet but definitely will soon. I didn't hate Mindreader or Resentment when they released them. They aren't great but they aren't offensively bad. In the other hand, Degenerates was hot trash. So I'm curious to see if this will end up higher than a 2 for me lol.

"I would wipe my ass with this album if I could."

Make sure you use the gatefold CD version because it's the closest thing to resemble toilet paper. A jewel case would just injure you.
