the real issue lies in the fact that your distaste for any music that even slightly reflects an actual living human soul blinds you to the manner in which asdftghyjikolp;:@]

The t/t and last two songs are the best I'm thinking. First two songs and ABQ are my least favs I think, but everything on here is good or great.

Yeah Ghosteen is tied for 3rd best with Murder Ballads for me. His two best are No More Shall We Part and Skeleton Tree imo

Murder Ballads leans into the edge too much for me to rate it that high but NMSWP and Skeleton Tree are def up there along with Let Love In

Yeah Let Love In is my 5th favorite. I have nostalgia for Murder Ballads cause it's my first Nick Cave CD and been listening to it for like 15 years, more than half my life.

My friends and I would love listening to Stagger Lee and O'Malley's Bar laughing our asses off at the lyrics.

I also think it has some of their best ballads like Henry Lee, Wild Roses, and Death is Not the End, and generally really interesting instrumentation.

I'm turning 28 in November. 10th anniversary of creating my account was last month I just realized.

Wonder if I'm the youngest emeritus... probably at least one of them.

Exactly the same here me mate would stick Stagger Lee on and act it all out, to this day one of the funniest things I’ve seen.

If I love Skeleton Tree (and I do!), is this the 'next step'?

I am pondering upon a few existing Cave gaps that could do with filling, but more of those ST vibes would go down rather nicely

Could probs go straight from Skele Tree to this, but I think the second half of Ghosteen is what sets up the palette they draw from on the opening pair

I forgot about Ghosteen (heard it already and it didn’t hit), but that was before I’d explored his discog properly. Could do with a revisit then.

I can’t think of an artist I’ve heard more in the last 6-9 months actually (my perception of time may be slightly off here, usually is).
