yes never use a thesaurus and write 2-3 paragraph reviews while only using the same 100 words repeatedly because, in the wise words of Kevin Malone (and/or rufinthefury), "Why waste time say lot word, when few word do trick?"

"So I guess no one should voice anymore opinions."
No dude, no, don't get me wrong, I told you, critique is good, and you made your point, that you don't like that style, and that is perfectly fine!
It's when you say that writing in this style "should stop". I don't think it should, I think anyone is free to write in whatever style suits them. That's all!

i mean, you could look at it as like the rap equivalent of like an END-style hardcore lol this shit is hard as fuck, just not core in the musical department, if that makes sense. lotta energy and consistently thought-provoking and intense descriptions through his (as well as Griselda as a whole's) delivery and lyricism with everything from witty 1 line non-sequiturs all they way to stories you would think came from a screenplay with how well-presented they are. shit just fucking rips too, the beats on this are absolutely immaculate. this might be better than FKTAG and thats saying a lot

ok this thread got out of hand, but
"That which had been used to take his life now fueled his resurrection, channeling the grit of the Buffalo underground into prose that never shied from undisguised veracity, connecting the personal realm of the rapper with the observations he accumulated as he wandered about the criminal landscape."
not to fan the flames, but I think there is a lot to look at here constructively - and very little of it has to do with thesaurus wank. the deal is mainly that 1) it's a run-on that could v easily have been presented more clearly as seperate sentences 2) the first clause is immediately a lurch for anyone unfamiliar with artist context (likely most people) and 3) undisguised veracity is fine on its own, but coming straight off never shied from it feels tautological and overbaked. all these are things that you might be comfortable with as a writer but it doesn't seem catered to your reader, and that's ultimately what matters most - tbh i think everyone who writes here non-casually should be trying to change and accommodate at every turn with this in mind (and, with that in mind, sorry to throw you under the bus, Mars; same crit could go for any number of writers here, and I'm still struggling to comb it through my drafts consistently).
that said, it's application season, no mercy etcetc. hope anyone else reading this can make their own associations.
rufinthefury, feel free to offer critiques on other revs (hit mine up whenevs tbh), but be more considerate of your tone and constructiveness.

i'll check. like me some Conway, and a Mars endorsement should be heeded

rufinthefury's problem is that people like their reviews written with care and non-repetitively?

His LP from last year is essential, fo sho. I'm not as well versed on his earlier works.

Oh I know Conway, I meant the other LP produced by this Big Ghost guy, Carpe Noctem. Just did a quick Google search and it turns out Conway wasn't even on it, just a bunch of other dudes.
