Awesome review. I like this on par with his solo album. Can’t touch WL, Offerings, New Kind of House, or Hunger and Thirst, but I agree with Jesper and his review that this was the right direction to go after such a massive release in Offerings.

Jealous of your increasingly clear writing and analyses, very nice work friend. Small typo if you care, but no big deal cause it's more like a pick and choose of which verb you prefer, haha: "...vocalist Kyle Morton exclaims indicates that ”You know what to look for”. "

I really, really loved Offerings when it came out, but I haven't listened to it since and feel like it'd be a bit of an effort to get back into, so I'm glad this is lighter. I still return to White Lighter cause it feels huge as an experience but also is very easy and fun to jump around, I feel.

thanks so much b and blush!! and oops, will edit that mistake ty :]

offerings is def a pretty challenging listen but it's sooo good, those opening lines always instantly draw me in. i should really check kyle's solo record too, didn't even know that existed!

I barely revisit Offerings either because it's just so heavy. A gorgeous album but not exactly an album you can just casually put on.

I also need to check his solo work. And White Lighter. The new one is growing on me, particularly as I digest the lyrics. We're In It is good on its own but the lyrics are on another level, even with the silly "chips/ejaculate" line.
