holy shit thought the files I downloaded were corrupt on that opening track... that would have been a buzzkill... apparently not though 'cus I just played it straight from Bandcamp and whatever is going on where it sounds like it's cutting out towards the beginning is on there too

"The City Is Shelled" is reminding me of something... I think it's Earth's "Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine" maybe? well, until it starts hammering you...

I know in regards to the shrieks, the first time I listened to these guys I was totally like "wtf... is this guy seriously gonna do this for the whole record?"

First time I heard them it was on the Thou collab that they did and it was fucking magical. Hit every good spot in my brain.
