I only have two Rush 5s, but I tend to be really strict about 5s and I usually have a rule to only give a band one 5 at max. So the fact that Rush gets two shows how great they are to me. I think Rush, Genesis, Opeth and Queen are the only bands I've ever given two 5s (although I'd have to check again to make sure)

So I just checked, and it's those bands plus Nick Drake and Smashing Pumpkins. That's about it
I limit them because I don't want to be super hyperbolic about every album I come across when I know there's probably something better out there. It's the same reason I don't give every television episode a 10/10 on IMDb

I do see what you mean. To be honest though, as much as I love bands like Rush and Genesis, I couldn't 5'ing any of their other stuff. Even Selling England by the Pound, as tempting as it is. I just want to reserve my 5s for what I consider a certain elite position removed from everything else
