Woah, there it is! Thanks Mars, great review as always.

I saw this mentioned, decided to check after seeing the ‘tags’ - thinking it’d be some painfully obscure early year release I’d missed (given the low no. of ratings/lack of review and the fact I’ve paid nowhere near enough attention this year).

Needless circumstantial babbling aside, this goes unbelievably hard and is an absolute shoe-in for my (admittedly not particularly thorough) top 10. Love their sound.

I hope they cobble together enough votes for top 50. It is looking unlikely but we'll see.

Ugh. Yeah I want talk more about this but I’ve heard it twice and don’t want to blow my load too early...

This is just the right amount of pulverising heaviness so far, it doesn’t forget to build and use those lighter touches to aid the atmosphere. Nicely balanced between dissonance and immediately gratifying groove as well. I need to let this marinate, yet my first impressions are in danger of letting me get carried away.

Calm Demon.

I have heard it several times by now and I can agree with all of that lol. This isn't heavy for the sake of heavy, it is carefully composed. Nothing directionless to find here, which is an issue I often find with heavy albums; they can't do much else except be loud, which is all fine and dandy, those records have a purpose. But I prefer albums like this that amp the songwriting up. Sprinkling in metalcore chaos makes it all better

Trully dudes. Those yells are consuming me tbh...at first I could only get around first tracks heaviness...finnaly I m starting to think the back half on this beast is just as incredible and keeps surprising in the writing dept. Amazing.

In my stupid brain this pushes Converge's to Ulcerate's to Zao's buttons or even Inter Arma s Mastodon's switches, yet post af...damn impressive.

You said yourself Mars "right up your alley"
