I didn't realise their earlier material had haters? Their debut and the Yes I Am ep are very strong records. I was referencing Key and In Never Out especially as weaker links. Still more than decent though.

Idk it just seemed like people were pretty meh on them based off the comments posted in previous albums. Ppl often said they were generic which I disagree heavily
The review on Keys called them the ugly ducklings of the genre and was a significant step up from the first 2?? When I read that it literally boggled my mind.
Idk if haters but maybe because I think so highly of their early work, and this band in general, stuff in the 2.5-3.5 range seems disrespectful. But everyone got their own opinion so it is what it is

Haven't got into this as much as Versus yet. Loved Versus. Glad to see positive reception for the album on here so I'll definitely give it another go. Loved the first track especially but not much else jumped out to me on first listen. Always a special place in my heart for this band.
