Not surprised that he's taken the lead role. His songwriting presence has grown over the years, and especially after Martin's departure. The new guys might get more involved on the next album, but fuck the "it didn't fit into the DT sound" bullshit.

No, haven't really sampled anything else from them, as far as I remember. Mostly been hitting the higher rated albums first to see if I like or not, and I really enjoyed the two I mentioned

The mellow sections of Unbroken Dark are grrreat. The riff in the verse is pretty standard



I still enjoy Phantom Days for the most part, the solo section is definitely it's highlight

I hear this is their best since fiction. Pretty excited. The singles were superb (well, all but identical to none). The guitar work is especially impressive, particularly the dual guitar in phantom days.

Also high five for projector being your fave DT album, Trey. It's between that and character for me

Character will always be my favourite DT with it being the record that first got me into screamed vocals and heavier music in general. Still, really looking forward to this! Hope it can build on the promise shown on Atoma
