"Did Maynard forget how to sing? Lol wtf is this?"
I don't think his voice is the issue here. It's just that he has nothing to work with. Most of Puscifer songs are boring because Maynard's strength is sorting out vocal melodies in other people's songs rather than composing the songs himself.

Always sucked
Maynard's ego disgusts me

just get it out
we're here for you ❤

Could never get into Puscifer

Gah does he have to bring up existentialism and other pretentious topics in every song now? And I was hoping the female harmonies would be gone here. Feels like such a cheap tactic to add depth

haven't listened to this yet but I did like "Apocalyptical" when I watched the video for it... curious to hear

this is astonishingly bad so far

Well, all in all I see people fucking complaining for anything (seriously? the female harmonies had to go? jeeeesus have you ever heard more than one song of puscifer jeeeesus christ there's harmonies e v e r y w h e r e and she's a mainstay of the band why do you think they would have removed them)
Although yeah, it's not incredibly memorable and although some tunes have cool bits, some songs sound like something I could record on my synth (this is not a compliment to anybody's skills)
But 2.0 seems quite harsh considering it's still good to average chillout music with some tasteful bits (e.g. drum line on Personal Prometheus)

"But Sowing, you 5’d Honey Harper - Starmaker; that album blows!!!! So I guess that puts things in perspective.
"
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL this fucking guy.
Anyway also really fun review to read although considering this will end up at a 3.0 I guess and Maynard dictating the yellow pages would still relax me, I respectfully disagree on the level of sucking this disc does

lame mellow ticks and leeches
anyway the disc reminds me a lil bit of last Ulver, but last Ulver is tighter, shorter and with better songs/melodies

Bread and Circus, Apocalyptical, and Personal Prometheus were the only tracks I liked on this album, the rest didn't keep my attention. I think the female backing vocals are the highlights to these tracks.

God, I hate Maynard.

I don't mind the opening track Bread & Circus, but it's at least 2 minutes too long for its own good.
From the comments, it sounds like this is a running theme throughout the album, although Apocalyptical is so poor I might not stick around to find out.

This is the first Puscifer record I actually enjoyed start to finish. There’s some cool musical ideas going on here and some very catchy hooks.
