Closer grew on me, always loved Amy Lee's voice anyway

I always try liking the closer, but Amy Lee singing "fucking it up" kind of puts me off and then the song just builds into nowhere

Closer is fine, nothing too exciting. But probably the weakest song on here, I'm actually not too crazy on Parasite Eve either, strangely enough.

Damn, that's kinda wild. I think Parasite Eve is on the short list for best song they've done lol

"I think Parasite Eve is on the short list for best song they've done lol" tbh i can see it but it's not as huge as some of the best cuts off Sandpit turtle or There Is a Hell for me
Also what is with the slander on the closer, that's one of the best songs here

Parasite Eve is muchmuchmuchmuch of a muchness, was awkward covid bandwagoning when it dropped and has about as much longevity as their post-Semp other radio-chorus-101 clutches

stuff like hospital for souls, blessed with a curse, t/t to suicide season, don't go, crucify me, nihilist blues kinda feel stronger than parasite eve to me

No argument from me that Parasite Eve doesn't sound as "big" as those songs, but it's just such a sick ass track for me. It flows so nicely and while the lyrics are incredibly corny and hit at the beginning of Covid, I think that kinda endears the track to me more for really lockin it down to a time and place.

yeah it's definitely the most dated track here. 2nd above 1x1 for least fav on this album but I like it a bunch still.
