Band flicking their fans off? Most likely.

This isn't as good as I'd have hoped, but it's a pretty fun record and I think, aesthetically, it's an interesting direction for them to go in. Feeling like a 3 or 3.5.
I feel like calling this merely average is selling it a bit short, though. To imply that half of all music is better than this is grossly overestimating the quality of average music. Have you listened to broadcast radio lately? Shit is BAD.

The clichés you can find on this disc aren't exactly removed from the realm of radio. After all, this does take on a healthy amount of poppy characteristics that you can easily found by channel chasing through the stations.

"To imply that half of all music is better than this"
Is that really what most people are doing when they rate something though? I have never rated something 2.5/5 and thought that I was stating that it was worse than half of all music by doing so. I'm purely rating against my own preferences, or music of a similar style, which is just a very small bubble in the grand scheme of things.

There is also that to consider, certainly

Only real ones know that 90% of all music ever released is a 1

Not really into the vocals that much, but this is pretty solid

"To imply that half of all music is better than this"
Good lord, that's a horrible standard to judge music by (if that's how you're making your ratings). A rating has always been determined by some combination of my enjoyment and the overall quality of the record from my perception.

This is decent at best at times.

I'd rather listen to Lady Gaga queef into a jar for 7 hours than this

The first three tracks (or so) are absolutely terrible, but the band salvages a better mark on the back half. I’m enjoying “Livin’” more than I care to admit.

Yeah there are some guilty pleasures here, and potential aplenty. Too much drags it down for me, I'm afraid.

“Rust” is a decent track too. “Freak” nearly made me turn it off.

Haha yeah, it's not the worst but it is the most filler-y filler track I've heard in a long while

I've only heard Killer but lyrics aside I thought it was pretty catchy, Djelmash's vocals are awesome as ever
