"pika ain’t cynical enough for me, way too many generous ratings"

I'm defining cynicism here less in how many low rating pika gives and more through how he talks about art and artists in general.

Not sure if any of you watch Brad Taste in Music, but he just put out a pretty good video on this album

he pretty much examplifies everything I dislike about how music forums and the internet in general are ruining the simple joy of enjoying music by criticising the fuck out of everything and comparing it to everything else like its some cinema sins shit.

Went back to a 5.0 on this album, flawless stuff.

Like, if someone thinks they really were never good at any point, then they should listen to the early live albums at the very least.

Cinema Sins sucks big time, that's all I can comment on this issue lol.

Actually, Brad's video on OOS was pretty good. I think he's a pretty funny guy most of the time.

He's entertaining when you agree with him I guess. But even then I don't like how he talks about music and artists.

Feel that this album is more impressive than it is enjoyable. Absolution is a far better overall package in my opinion, although this definitely has some great moments! People don't seem to talk about Futurism enough, even if it's a bonus track, it's still probably my favourite off this next to New Born and Plug In Baby.

nah absolution blows compared to this.

futurism slaps agreed, glad they put it in the remastered album as a full blown track.

But it has Stockholm Syndrome, possibly the best Muse single of all time!? I'm listening through Absolution now, doing a discography run of Muse this week as I'm seeing them next year. It's been a while since I've visited their albums, so it's interesting coming back after a few years.

Realised a lot of their later music isn't as horrible as I initially thought, 2nd Law and Will of The People are surprisingly enjoyable listens.

The Small Print is better than I remember too! Love pretty much all the singles from Absolution, think Time is Running Out was the reason I got into this band in the first place. The ballads don't do much for me on it though, just realised that too.
