Not a big fan of this genre but been spinning this recently here and there. A couple of dead tracks on the record, but The Wind That Shakes the Land is perhaps one of the best tunes in the genre. Sick shit.

Apex is way better tbh but this is also pretty good

The production on Apex is more lively and has better dynamic range, that's for sure. None of the tracks come close to The Wind That Shakes the Land, save maybe Apex, though.

The new album will be butt rock/power metal crossover and you know what, I dont mind. Bands like Ad Infinitum are pretty dope, butt rock for sure, but great melodies and fun head bobby riffs.

Shit I'm down for it. Just keep the guitar work hot and I'll be happy.

I can listen to this chick sing all day. That said, I hope they don't shed too much of their fretboard gymnastics as they shift styles and progress...

I must say I'm the toy story meme "I don't want to play with you anymore" with this band and Ad Infinitum. Ad Infinitum has an alternative metal/power metal crossover to that I find more interesting these days.
