Not every British man singing and yelping in falsetto is Thom Yorke

I understand that but he sounds exactly like him so it is apt in this case

i can definitely hear some radiohead in It Was a Monstering

also on first listen almost all non-singles seem very weak

Think I might bump this up to a 4... It's growing on me a lot! Monstering and Lord Of The Trapdoor are slowly becoming favourites of mine.

I think people denouncing the similarities to Thom Yorke vocals on some tracks here are just trying to be edgy. If you can’t hear it in some singles you are clearly trying to convince yourself you don’t. It’s way too obvious. And as much as I like Radiohead, this album is still such a slog. I miss the chaos and weirdness of GTH. And I think the singles here are still good but I have no idea what they were thinking with these deep cuts. I find some of them to be more boring than even on AFD, which I also thought was subpar. But it’s still an inch better than AFD. At least this has the singles. All AFD had was the title track. The rest sucked.

Would I enjoy this if I thought Get to Heaven was tedious as hell?

Hahaha why are people being so elitist and pissy about people drawing comparisons to Radiohead? These guys obviously sound a bit like Radiohead. I hear a bit of Bloc Party too at times

I was trying to remember "to the blade" to remember what this guy's voice sounds/used to sound like and I kind of got the early buildup part in my head but then when the chorus hit (in my head) it was "attention" by charlie puth

I mean the guy sounds identical to Thom Yorke like 80% of the time, so...
