WAIT is so good [2]

Unfuture could have been on "Be". The chord production is almost identical to Nihil Morari

Unfuture and Wait strike me as the highlights. The title track is my least favourite...

The title track is so damn catchy though

I'm a fan. Production doesn't seem to be an issue now, it was mostly my expectations. Guitars could be louder but honestly it doesn't sound bad, it's just different. Good stuff

There's a handful of ideas that i feel would normally dry out having them stretched over an entire song, but stunningly work here. Loving their timbre pallet thus far.

Very different from what I was expecting. Very keyboard heavy yet minimalistic

The textures on this thing are so interesting and probably the best thing about it

The closing track is amazing, one of the best in their catalog I think. The rest of the album is pretty solid, only one that doesn't stick for me is Keen Tina Fault. Maybe I'll revisit.

I love Keen to a Fault. Also love the title track, wish they had a bit more of the industrial guitars on it

Keen to a Fault has a really odd chorus melody, but I really love the lyrics and the verses have a lot of really great layers.
Titletrack I swear if they had done an additional aggressive verse would have been even better. I guess they probably heard people criticising ItPLoD for being too diluted

It's a pretty impressive release, considering the many different approaches on prog. Accelerator, Restless Boy and Icon are the ones that need time for me to sink in.

PoS are so eclectic, this is really stunning.

They have a very unique way of interpreting prog for sure. Actually, Gildenlöw recently stated his distaste for contemporary prog in an interview. Furthermore describing ITPLODs 'Full Throttle Tribe' as his musical inspiration in the making of the album. Plenty of other material that will make it on the next album seem to be kind of finished already. One song even builds upon the concept of Panther.

Is that the Metalinjection interview about Panther being about neurodivergent people etc.? Did Daniel drop any names or hints on what kind of contemporary prog?
And it's interesting he already finished material for another album, I really want to read that interview

No, it's from an interview he did for a german news magazine. Though, if you translate it with google, you should probably be fine:

Guy seems very genuine in his reflections.

Luckily I'm german, so that's fine :D Vielen Dank!

Gonna check this out but every time I listen to PoS, the vocals are so emotional that it almost sounds like a musical. Love them though but always a tad on the cheesy side

Vocally there will always be experimentation, so be prepared for that. Musically it's an atypical modern "prog" release, so worth checking out just for that
The drum mix is really good. I think the slight absence of guitars allowed them to space the mix out a bit
