Yeah this is a huge turnaround for them. No song is a career highlight, but every song is good.

BUT THEN I THOUGHT I COULD FLY
AND WHEN I HIT THE GROUND
IT MADE A MESSED UP SOUND
Gosh dang, that song is quickly making a case to be my favorite Killers tune

it was stunning. favorite tracks so far: Imploding the mirage, Blowback, My God

22 seconds in on Blowback right after the words "theres a whisper in her heartbeat" it uses that same Sophie stock sound thats on GTFU by Injury Reserve and it throws me off hard
overall this is nice so far
Also, am I crazy or have I heard the chorus for Dying Breed before?

i hope its good they were basically bruce springsteen 2.0 for a long time which i thought was lame (though i like bruce springsteen for the most part)

Now that I've actually heard all of their stuff and have a fresh take on their first two records, I'm gonna throw this out there
ITM > ST > HF >>> WW >> D&A > BB

Overall this sounded good but this also sounds like plagiarism on almost every song

I've never really enjoyed Springsteen much in the past, just based on random popular songs I've heard here and tbere. Maybe I should go through some of his stuff

I like the idea of Springsteen more than I like Springsteen lol

"ITM > ST > HF >>> WW >> D&A > BB"
this ranking is wild, godspeed you boy

Top 3 are generally top 3 and bottom 3 are generally bottom 3, aren't they? Or do some hold D&A in much higher regard than the other two

Day & Age has some fans but it's generally viewed as a let down. This and D&A are the only debatable/swappable middle pieces although this is a bit better IMO

Symbolic if youre serious check out some of his albums that are acclaimed but not that commercial you may be surprised. Stuff like Nebraska.

mostly putting Hot Fuss anywhere below first seems very strange to me, it's by far the pinnacle of this band's career
|
| |
i'm biased toward that album but its only due to the time it came out and where i was in life (high school/college time)

@Sowing ahh, fair enough
@eons 100% serious, thanks for the recs
@Project oh okay I hear ya, yeah, aside from one track, the last 7 on HF do nothing for me. But I also have no nostalgic connection to any of those songs outside Mr. Brightside and Somebody Told Me

I actually prefer Sam's Town, but yeah HF is amazing regardless and no lower than #2.

Ftr, I could see Sam's Town growing on me more. The highs on there are just sublime, on top of being fairly consistent. Could definitely see that and this jumping back and forth in my rank

This is so poor... It's hard to imagine that after HF and ST they haven't released another good album.
I'm relistening to HF and almost any song is better than this,

Day & Age was the last time I enjoyed anything from this band.
Sam's Town was a mixed bag, but they went full Heartland Rock Springsteen-inspired after D&A. Sucks to see they still have an identity crisis.
