if you're mind is blown by kerrang giving ridiculous scores to popular british bands than you're not familiar with how bad that rag's reputation is, as someone who used to buy it when i was 12 they've been going downhill for well over a decade. they never give big bands low or average scores because they don't want to upset those with big fanbases who they want to get exclusive interviews from in the future.

I had no idea my Biffy bois were releasing an album. Bet it’s good and this review is full of lies. Lol

The review is full of lies. The album has great tunes: end of, cop syrup, weird leisure, the Pink limit, space, the champ, north of no south and worst type. Even the tiny indoor fireworks is good.

This album is way better than Ellipsis and this is great news.

If you only enjoy screams, biffy never was your band.

yeah this is a really enjoyable album front to back. every song has its place and purpose, as a properly constructed album should be.

Mostly serviceably generic stadium Biffy with at least a handful of really nice cuts. Cop Syrup kicks ass

Vertigo and Infinity Land are essential, definitely don’t let this (or really any of their recent stuff) be your first impression

My problem isn't screams, it's instrumentation and songwriting.

Both of which have gone to shit from their previous heights.

I prefer the old sound but it doesn't make post-Infinit land Biffy bad, just different.

It would be very boring if 2020s Biffy would be the same than 2007s...

I can only blame Ellipsis for being too poppy, it's an album that doesn't feels good but still has some great tracks.

Not feeling this, Cop Syrup is fantastic though.

Need to check early BC, I've only heard the more commercial albums, and while I do like them more than this, they don't blow me away either.

The first 4 albums are all fantastic, everything after that is a touch of a step down, other than Ellipsis, which is just a bit naff, other than Wee Man
