Edit: just googled to see some recent statistics and apparently these days most Puerto Ricans identify as white, in fact.

Plus, anecdotal, but I know several bi or mixed racial people who take issue with the assumption by white people that they are, for instance, black by default just because they arent 100% white

In this instance I'd say the safest bet is to just not assume

I didn't say it was, just provided an anecdotal parallel, and in that instance the individuals I was referencing were half black. but also, puerto ricans are considered a mix of black white and indigenous and calling them a person of colour means they arent white so in this instance by process of elimination it kind of is lmao

Anyways I'm not trying to read you or neek I just thought it was weird to make people not liking him a race thing when he is at the very least "white passing"

I mean I don't really think listening to stage musicals is that engaging, mostly because these songs were written to be performed on a stage where people 100s of ft away could figure it out, hence half of "It's Quiet Uptown" being a chorus explaining everything that's happening on stage

doesn't translate so well on film or removed from the stage
